Colorful leaf chard that can withstand double-digit subzero temperatures. It can be well overwintered by cutting it about 5 cm/2 in above the ground after the last harvest and cover. The stems shine in red, orange, pink, yellow and white. The leaves also vary in different shades of green to green-red. This attractive play of colors accents both vegetable and flower beds. High yielding. Also found as F1 hybrid by certain producers. Use like spinach.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Does not need to be pre-pulled. Germination after 10-14 days at 15-20°C/59-68°F. Tolerate moderate frost. In case of heavy frost, cover with fleece or similar. Separate if necessary. Harvest leaves from outside, grow back.
