The chard is strong-growing and grows up to 50cm high. Broad-leaved green leaves with reddish interspersed. Ideal for dry zones, but can also be grown in humid areas without problems. The bright red stems remain red even after cooking. The young leaves can be enjoyed raw as a salad addition, the older leaves cooked as spinach.
