Description

Charlie chard is particularly decorative. It has a glossy green leaf color and intensely red-colored stems and leaf veins. The variety has been specially bred for the baby leaf harvest. This means that the seedlings are harvested young, when they are still particularly tender. The cultivation period is short, so it can also be sown as a quick intermediate crop. Charlie also grows well in balcony boxes. The aroma and fresh colors are an enrichment for any salad. But this chard is also very tasty as a steamed vegetable.
