Predominantly firm-cooking, medium-early. Maturity: 130-150 days. Also called "Blue Congo" or "Idaho Blue". Blue-purple flesh. Old variety. An insider tip as a health potato and suitable in creative cuisine as a salad, baking, jacket or boiled potato. Try the Blue Swede as a baked potato, where the intense color is best preserved. Strong, slightly sweet taste. (Source: kartoffelvielfalt.de)
Non hybrid

Pre-germination at 15°C = 2 weeks growth progress. Germination from 7-8°C. Cook with husk, then the blue color is less lost. Also suitable for cooler regions. Pile up a little as soon as the first shoots and leaves are there.
