'Asparges', or Danish asparagus potato, is an excellent gourmet potato. Very similar to the French variety 'La Ratte'. Asparges is less thin and higher germination. Nutty-delicate, bacony flavor. Forms horn-shaped, yellow tubers. Can only be stored for a short time. Good as a salad or jacket potato. Firm cooking.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Since the variety has a higher susceptibility to late blight, the potatoes should be pre-sprouted. Keep frost-free. At a height of 10 cm, the potatoes can be mounded.
