Description

Medium-early, waxy salad quality table potato. Bellinda combines an outstanding taste with a high yield. The tubers look attractive due to their long oval shape. The variety can also be recognized by its smooth skin and deep yellow flesh. Very good storability (long dormancy), good heat tolerance and above-average leaf health characterize the variety. 130 - 150 days of ripening. The variety was bred by Europlant. It originated from Belana.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

The potato is a heavy feeder and prefers deep, nutrient-rich soil without waterlogging in a temperate, sunny climate. Seed potatoes should be sprouted approx. 4 weeks before the planting date, e.g. in an egg box in a bright place without direct sunlight. You should keep the seed potatoes warm until they sprout, after which they can continue to sprout in a cooler place. This sequence encourages the formation of many large potatoes. As soon as tubers begin to form, the potato plants need plenty of water. However, waterlogging should be avoided at all costs. Mounding up soil around the plants several times during tuber formation ensures that more tubers can form. Firm-cooking salad potato with a fine, appetizing texture. Sprout-resistant variety for long-term storage. Should be pre-germinated due to late yield formation. The variety prefers medium to better soils with an even supply of water and nutrients. 130 - 150 days to maturity.
