The variety name refers to the shape of the tuber. "Almond" is a delicacy and originally comes from Finland. Here it is known as Puikula. The taste is excellent and the consistency of the potatoes is creamy. Due to the rather small tubers, they can be grown in tubs on the patio or, of course, in the vegetable patch.
