This mix is potato seeds and not seed potatoes! When growing potatoes from plants can create new varieties and the plants grown from seed are often more robust and healthy. In addition, home-grown seed potatoes can also be grown for many years without degenerating. In the first year, somewhat smaller tubers (seed potatoes) are usually formed, which are then planted out the next year and form plants with large potatoes. If there are already some large potatoes in the first year, they can be tasted. Our potato seeds are a colorful mixture of old varieties with yellow, red and purple tubers. Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing like tomatoes. Pre-culture in sowing soil from March indoors. Germinates at 20°C in about 10 days. In May, after the ice-hallows, harden off the approx. 15 cm tall plantlets and plant them out in the greenhouse or outdoors. In the first year, small tubers are formed which are dug up and overwintered frost-free (the tubers also survive mild winters in the soil). The next year, the nodules are planted like seed potatoes and large potatoes are formed. Seeds can be obtained from the tomato-like (poisonous) fruits themselves. (From MagicGardenSeeds.com)
