The round-oval, yellow variety Gala has a very fine aromatic taste and is well suited for mashed potatoes and dumplings. Approved in Germany in 2002. Predominantly firm to floury in cooking. Popular food variety, also in the potato industry. Early to medium-early variety. Good yield and resistance. Fine skinned, very easy to peel. Tolerates drought well.
