Traditional, medium-late variety for outdoor cultivation with green, decoratively red speckled pods. The variety 'Weinländerin' is a classic variety from Switzerland and is also called 'Vigneronne' there. You can still harvest them until late in the year. High yielding and strong foliage development. Suitable for drying. Plant 6-8 seeds per stalk.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Location protected from the wind. Germination after 5-20 days at 18-22°C. Fertilization often not necessary, because beans bind nitrogen from the air. A trellis or climbing aid is necessary. Sensitive to frost. When the plants are 10-15 cm high, mound them a little. Cultivation interval: 3-4 years. Spacing of the eyries/supporting aid: 80x100 cm. Between the beans in the eyrie about 10 cm.
