Popular, early to medium-early, broad-hulled sword bean with an excellent, finely aromatic flavor. The plants reach a height of approx. 2.5 m, produce a rich yield and are robust and resistant to bean mosaic virus. The flat, green pods are particularly tender, fleshy, stringless and 25 - 27 cm long. They are suitable freshly cooked as a vegetable side dish and for bean salads, as well as for canning and freezing. The pods contain the harmful plant protein phasin, which becomes digestible when heated.
