Bush bean "Amethyst" differs from other bush beans by low and compact growth and is excellent to grow in a tub or pot next to the vegetable patch. "Amethyst" shines with approximately 15 cm long, slender, purple and stringless pods. The purple pods have velvety skin with an intense bean flavor and are resistant to bean mosaic virus.

Direct sowing from May to mid-July. For pot sowing (containers with approx. 10 l volume) 10 to 15 grains 2 - 3 cm deep. For row sowing with a spacing of 40 - 50 cm, every 6 - 8 cm 1 grain or eaves sowing every 40 cm 5 - 7 grains each.
