'Dr. Becker No. 18' is a strong growing, robust bush bean. The pods ripen gradually. Named after its East Frisian breeder, the wax bean develops tender, yellow pods with good flavor, which are wonderfully suitable for bean salad, for example. Wax beans are considered to be particularly fine in taste and at the same time somewhat more demanding in cultivation. Also proven under less favorable growing conditions. (From biogartenbedarf)
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination after 10-14 days between 8-25°C. Sowing in slightly warmed soil is optimal. Frequent picking prolongs the harvest period. Mounding improves the stability.
