Bush bean (runner bean). Approx. 10-12 cm long, straight, flat, red and white speckled pods, each with 5-6 seeds of the same color. Particularly aromatic taste. Robust and undemanding. Late maturing. Only the beans are eaten when dry-cooking beans. Not suitable for eating raw. Resistant to viruses. (From Bionana/Samenmeier)
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination after 8-15 days at 12-20°C. When growing in clusters: 30x40 cm with 4-6 grains each, harvest the beans only when the pods are completely dry. Mounding improves stability. September - October, harvest the completely dry pods. The young, colorful pods can also be harvested as snap beans or as half-ripe, still soft pal beans after approx. 3 months.
