Forms pods about 15 cm long. This red Mexican dry cooking bean is excellent for salads and soups (chili con carne). Nutritious and very high yielding variety. Good for freezing. From Dürr.

Sow from the beginning of May, when no more night frosts are expected. Germination after 7-14 days at 15-25°C. Mounding improves the stability. Pre-cultivation in a pot is possible. Do not sow or harvest when wet. Provide sufficient moisture especially during flower and fruit development.
