More and more dragonflies are flitting around the garden pond. Today, the Four-spotted Dragonfly has been spotted repeatedly; a few days ago, I posted a photo of its abandoned exuvia. The bluish one is the Large Blue-tailed Skimmer. And then I found another new exuvia today—possibly from the King Skimmer—if only I could finally watch it hatch! Then I’m observing many different bumblebees on the Large Scaly-headed Bumblebee. That cuckoo bumblebee keeps showing up. The two photos are from today and the day before yesterday; I can’t even tell if it’s the same one. Hopefully, iNaturalist will shed some light on the matter 😉 At least the stone bumblebee, also on the Schuppenkopf, is easy to identify...
