If I weren't already convinced that no-dig is the better growing method, this would be the proof! My garlic—which has no variety name (bought from a produce stand and propagated repeatedly over the past 5 years)—is larger and was easier to harvest (pull out) than the “giant” garlic bulbs I bought from an organic mail-order company, which were grown in “ordinary” soil and had to be pried out with force!). This contradicts what the locals told me over 5 years ago—that the soil here is very poor and nothing would grow properly. So I set out to find ways to grow them successfully DESPITE that. Wenn ich den Ljubascha im No dig Beet anbauen würde, könnte es klappen mit der Größe.
