Dear Community, My Chinese cabbage seems to be growing a little bit every day and is actually doing really well. Unfortunately, the caterpillars have noticed this too and are helping themselves quite a bit. 🙈 I’m already picking them off—but searching for caterpillars every evening can’t be a long-term solution. And now I need your collective wisdom: 👉 What are these dark green little balls/dots on the leaves? Are they eggs, droppings, or something else entirely? 👉 What really works for you guys against caterpillars on cabbage—besides picking them off every day? 👉 Is there a trick you use to protect your cabbage in the long run? 👉 And at what point would you say: Sacrifice the head and get rid of it before the other Chinese cabbage plants get more heavily infested? I’d like to avoid heavy-duty chemicals as much as possible and am eager to hear your best tried-and-true tips and tricks. 🌱 So: What exactly would you do in my situation right now?
