The raspberries are already ripe today, so I had to act fast while the weather was still good. I harvested the zucchini and Swiss chard from the garden bed. I replanted some Swiss chard in the greenhouse and the raised bed. I loosened up the soil and enriched it with sand, compost, and some rhododendron soil. I made some wire baskets and then buried them with the plants. Before that, I’d set the ground anchors. The square timbers will go in next. The bed is well loosened up. Then I watered it thoroughly and mulched it very lightly. If it doesn’t work out now, I don’t know what else to do. Mushrooms are growing again around the old oak stump.
