A quick tour of what’s growing here. Pictures 1 and 2: a single tomato plant that’s practically taken over the garden bed. Picture 3: Bolivian cilantro. It started out small but is now growing like crazy. Picture 4: My poor eggplant is barely getting any light. Pictures 5–7: The grapevines have been given a trellis on the garage wall and are bearing fruit. There were red ones, but they’ve been harvested. Picture 8: My beloved fig tree. It suffered frost damage in the spring and took a while to recover. Picture 9: I’m leaving the basil and lemon balm for the insects. Picture 10: Lemon verbena for iced tea 😋
