I finally went on a photo safari again over the last few days 😁 And here’s what I discovered: Photos 1, 2, and 3 show the short-tailed blue butterfly. The arrow in Photo 3 indicates why it has this name—though this short protrusion is barely visible to the naked eye. Photo 4 shows a thistle blue, and Photo 5 shows a yellow-banded furrow bee; I’ve been seeing them quite often again lately. Then, in Photo 6, you can see a small gold wasp—wild carrot is still very popular with insects! Photo 7 shows a house field wasp, and this morning I spotted the southern oak grasshopper (Photo 8); I’ve never photographed this grasshopper before.
