Hi, everyone! I have this cocktail tomato plant (which I bought as a small seedling) that’s been producing flowers nonstop for 3 weeks, isn’t growing much taller anymore, and so far, only 2 tiny tomatoes have formed out of the hundreds of flowers.
Is there anything I can do about this? I’ve read that, depending on the variety, it can be normal for a plant to produce a lot of flowers, but this many?? 😳
The location should actually be fine—I have another cocktail tomato variety right next to it, and that one is growing perfectly with great fruit.

Ich habe auch so eine geschenkt bekommen und nennt sich Murmel. Bin schon gespannt, es zeigen sich erst 2 Früchte
Bekommt die Tomate Wind ab zur bestäuben oder Insekten?
Das sind Multiflora Sorten. Ich hatte auch so eine. Ist aber nicht ganz mein Ding. Wenn die Krautfäule kommt, verderben sie ruckzuck und den Geschmack fand ich auch nicht so doll. Welche Sorte hast du?
Ich weiß leider nicht, was das für eine Sorte ist. Ist aus dem Baumarkt, auf dem Zettel steht nur der lateinische Name für Tomate 😆
Schüttel sie täglich, damit mehr Blüten befruchtet werden.

Wahnsinn! Ich denke, ich würde mich hauptsächlich freuen auf viele Früchte. Schütteln zum Bestäuben ist eine gute Idee.
Danke für eure Antworten, dann werd ich mal fleißig schütteln 😆 Bin beruhigt dass das scheinbar wirklich an der Sorte liegt.
...ist das nicht eine Johannisbeertomate? ...Zum Bestäuben kann man auch eine elektrische Zahnbürste an den Stengel dranhalten...oder diverse Gerätschaften aus der Nachttischschublade 🤪😎☺️🫣
