Everything is growing beautifully right now; every day the tomatoes, eggplants, and the rest get a little bigger. However, I’m also trying to water them at least every two days, sometimes daily. Otherwise, with this heat—just under 40°—everything would wither away. But with enough water, I’ve been harvesting my first zucchini for a week now, and now my first cucumbers too—and I’ve been harvesting Swiss chard, herbs, potatoes, and arugula for a while already. I’m just a little behind with the tomatoes. But the heat can be deceiving: summer has only just begun. So I’ll still get my tomatoes. Right now, I’m just enjoying this lush garden splendor once again.
