Today there was a brief rumble of thunder and a light drizzle. Now it’s hot again. I wonder if this is a spillover from El Niño? Many plants in the garden are holding up well, while others are clearly feeling the heat. We hit 36°C, and my potatoes and strawberry plants are showing signs of leaf scorch. Pumpkins, cucumbers, and zucchini, on the other hand, are loving the weather. My soil is hard as concrete in some spots, so I’m going to add another layer of mulch. The comfrey needs to be trimmed—there’s plenty of foliage there. The 🐌 love it, too. They’re currently feasting on the Swiss chard. The last of the rhubarb has been harvested, and I captured a few snapshots.....
