Can I help with the encyclopedia?

You can help keep the quality of our plant encyclopedia high at any time by suggesting changes when data is incorrect or by adding missing varieties.

If you want to do more, why not become a member of our encyclopedia moderation team?

Together with the volunteer moderation team, we're working to build the largest community-based variety library in the world, to help gardeners everywhere grow their own vegetables. If you want to be part of this mission, you can join our moderation team. Your job is to review newly created varieties or suggested changes, so that all Fryd gardeners can rely on the quality of the library.

What you should bring:

  • A passion for detailed work in the garden

  • A basic understanding of botany and plant families

  • Identification with our mission of an open database

  • A regular time commitment (it doesn't have to be much)
