How to get rid of soft rot
The disease is often referred to as potato blackleg. The bacterium is ubiquitous and enters the plant through wounds.
Treatment
Internal infestation is usually only detected during storage when tubers or stems rot with an unpleasant odour. Control is not possible. If infested, the rest of the crop should be stored in a cool place.
