Today I started getting the garden ready for winter. That means taking the outhouse inside, emptying the water canisters, removing the pump from the pond, and harvesting a few more things. I also took the netting off the cabbage patch, since it’s more of a hindrance now. I also hauled a few concrete slabs for the tomato greenhouse. My goodness, are they heavy. I almost fell over.🥴 I didn’t feel like raking leaves anymore, but I’ll get to that eventually. The physalis is still full of fruit. Will they actually ripen? The green manure is doing its job, and the cucumbers are still busily producing little cucumbers. I didn’t even have that in mid-October.
