Ahead of the next heat wave that’s been forecast, I took the cucumbers out of the greenhouse. I’ve harvested a total of 10 cucumbers so far, and despite lots of flowers, there were hardly any more in sight. The leaves were already showing signs of fungal infection, too. I pinched back the tomato plants and removed all the side shoots that weren’t setting fruit. It’s pretty airy in there now 😅 The chili plants have lots of fruits that are ripening, so I’m letting them stay. But I’m not watering anything that isn’t producing and is already struggling… I’m thinking about sowing pole beans and sugar snap peas? I’d love to plant endive and Chinese cabbage… 💚
