A quick update from my garden: 1+2 The tomatoes are starting to bloom, and there are already fruits on the Matina. That’s the only plant I bought after hearing so much praise for it; the other 26 varieties are home-grown. 3 The celery looks like it’s starting to form tubers 4 The peas are blooming—I’m already looking forward to snacking on them 5 Onions 6 Unfortunately, the fava beans are full of aphids despite spraying them with stinging nettle. Maybe I should try neem after all? 7+8 In the meadow, daisies, widow’s tears, meadow sage, and rattles (not in the picture) are currently blooming

I spray heavily with water and Castile soap to get rid of aphids until the lady bugs show up. It may take several days of spraying but it will get the job done.

Meine Saubohnen sehen auch so aus. Momentan mache ich aber nichts, weils die Marienkäfer schon aktiv sind. Ich hoffe sie gewinnen bald die Oberhand
