Carrot fly
How to get rid of the fly
Carrot fly larvae feed underground through the central root, disrupting the flow of water and causing the leaves to wilt (yellow, red). The roots stink at harvest.
Treatment and prevention
Mixed cultivation with amaryllis plants as well as dill and lavender have a preventative effect. Pouring onion/garlic tea over the plants can also help.
