This is what it looks like when the roots of an apple tree take over the raised bed.😩 Rock-hard, dry soil with little humus, but lots of earthworms. I was really surprised. I’m sifting it out now and spicing it up with sand and compost. The earthworms will, of course, end up in the sifted soil. That’s going to take days.🥴

Warum sparst du dir das Sieben nicht und schichtest ,,Lasagne". Eine Schicht Erde, eine Schicht Kompost, bißchen was Trockenes wie Laub oder Stroh und wieder von vorn, gerne auch eine Schicht Mist. Die Würmchen mittenmang, alles begießen, vielleicht etwas EMI drüber und mit Bändchengewebe abdecken, oder es reicht auch eine dicke Schicht, Laub, Stroh oder was du gerade hast. Über die nächsten Monate kümmern sich die Bodentierchen um den Rest. Manchmal ist Weniger Mehr.

Das Hochbeet kommt weg dort und ich muss die Erde verteilen. Aber trotzdem eine gute Idee. Danke.

Ich muss noch in diesen Jahr das Frühbeet und Gewächshaus tief umgraben 😞 Die Erde ist immer so schnell austrocknet. Ich vermute das die Hecke da Wasser holt. Noch steht da Paprika und Tomaten.

Ja, man glaubt es echt nicht. Ich habe Tonnen an Wurzelmasse. Damit habe ich nicht gerechnet.
