Does anyone know what kind of squash I planted there? I can’t find it in my seed packets... I planted it late, and now it’s bearing three really heavy fruits. Unfortunately, the powdery mildew has spread so much by now that I don’t stand a chance against it. That’s why I’d like to know if this pumpkin variety—which is new to me—stays green or if I should still let it hang on the vine a little longer… Speaking of pumpkins: has anyone else ever had harvested fruits infested with spider mites? I guess I’ll have to hose them down after all… The snake zucchini/club squash are exceeding all expectations. It’s unbelievable how much they’re producing, and they look so funny, too! And finally, a beautiful Hokkaido calyx...
