Storage variety from Ticino. Grows slowly. Color is purple outside, white inside, very decorative. Forms short-stubby carrots with a length of about 10-15 cm. Sensitive to wetness.

Not frost resistant
Do not sow on freshly fertilized soil. Keep evenly moist during germination. If necessary, cover with protective netting because of pests. Observe crop rotation. Can form a lot of foliage. Thin out again later if necessary. Unwashed carrots can be stored for up to 6 months when grown late at approx. 2° C. Only harvest well-matured carrots and not before October.
