This colorful mixture consists of 4 varieties from ProSpecieRara and brings diversity in color, shape and taste to the kitchen: (1) Giants of Colmar (slow-growing storage variety of the Red Giants type), (2) Gniff (slow-growing storage variety from Ticino, purple outside, white inside), (3) Küttiger (old variety from Aargau with white, slightly shorter carrots, slow-growing storage variety), (4) Jaune du doubs (old variety from Frakreich, long pointed yellow carrot with green head, slow-growing). Old and rare varieties with original taste, especially high in carotene, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Since slow growing, do not sow too late.
Non hybrid
Sow sufficiently early and not too dense. Against carrot fly helps mounding, mixed culture with leeks, cultivation under net and avoid areas with fresh organic fertilizers. Carrots take a long time to germinate and must be kept moist during this time. Later singling is usually necessary for the formation of large beets. Do not grow umbellifers on the same area more often than every 4 years. Development time: 130-140 days.
