Oxhella (type: Chantenay) stands out for a medium-sized, compact, conical root shape with a bright orange color. It has a very stable, strong and healthy foliage. Root length 12 cm. Stimulating aromatic flavor and good internal coloration. Medium-early washing and storage carrot.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Culture time: 120-140 days. Habitat: Sun, loose, light, humic, not freshly fertilized soil and in a free, airy position. Cover the seed flat with soil, press well and keep moist. Germination period 14-28 days at 6-22°C, mark with radish seed if necessary. If the carrots are too dense after emergence, it is worthwhile to pull or separate them to obtain a good quality. Always keep moist (carrots will otherwise burst due to a different water supply), keep rows weed-free. To prevent infestation with carrot flies, it is recommended to cover the beds with special crop protection nets from the beginning of May, or to sow carrots in mixed culture with onions or savory.
