The F1 hybrid is a top variety with a high yield. Each flower produces one fruit (all-female, part). The slender, approx. 30 cm long fruits are smooth-skinned and resistant to cucumber scab, bacterial leaf diseases and mildew.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination period: 6-15 days at a minimum of 22-26°C. As cucumbers are quite sensitive to cold, you should only plant/sow them out after the Ice Saints. After sowing at the 4-leaf stage, plant them in a nutrient-rich and humus-enriched area and water evenly. Guide the cucumbers up by strings or trellises, remove side shoots from leaf axils and later harvest only stem fruits. They also require a lot of warmth during growth and also need an even water supply. Stress conditions such as temperature fluctuations, lack of water or frequent touching lead to the formation of bitter substances. A cultivation break of 3-4 years should be observed. Cucumbers must be able to hold on, as they form long tendrils (2-4 m). Regular harvesting increases the yield as more new flowers are formed.
