The sweet pepper variety 'Marconi Rosso' (also Long Red Marconi) is a traditional Italian variety with pointed bright red fruits. These are about 15-20 cm long, thin-skinned and with small chambers. It is best to harvest at the transition stage to maturity, then you will have crisp and aromatic pods with an excellent flavor. This old Italian variety is very productive. A good variety for antipasti.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Optimum germination temperature 25-28°C (min. 16°C), germination period 14-21 days (tip: pre-swell seeds in room-warm water for 24 hours). Pre-culture from February. Prick out from the 1st-2nd true leaf pair in nutrient-rich soil. Harden off plants gradually (start with 15 min, then increase) in the shade from at least 10°C outside temperature. Plant out in the greenhouse in April or outdoors after the last frosts. In the greenhouse, the plants of the variety become very large. Here it is recommended to tie up the shoots on strings. Likes a lot of sun and fertilization, for example, compost.
