Description

The Yala variety is a very high-yielding variety with 40-70 fruits per plant. The plants are robust and are suitable for outdoor and container cultivation (15L). Even at temperatures in the single-digit range outdoors, this bell pepper still produces great and many fruits. The small, blocky, yellow snack peppers are around 8-10 cm/3.1-3.9 in long and 3-4 cm/1.4-1.6 in wide. Quite early and abundant set, ripening from green to yellow. The fruits (even in the green stage) are incredibly sweet and very crunchy. Growth height approx. 60 cm/23.6 in.

Growing tips

You should grow peppers in nutrient-rich soil in a sunny location. For a rich harvest, the first flower (terminal bud/'king flower') should be broken off. This promotes flower and fruit formation on the side shoots. Pull the plants with 3-4 shoots and remove the remaining shoots. In Central Europe, cultivation is usually annual, but the highest yield is only achieved 2-3 years after planting. To achieve this, the plant must be overwintered indoors. The fruits are harvested from July to September, depending on the variety and weather conditions.
