Purple Bell is a mild, dark purple, almost black block bell pepper with a good yield. Its small plants grow compactly and are only around 60 cm tall, making them suitable for container cultivation. The large fruits ripen from green to purple to red and can be eaten at all stages of ripeness. However, the full aromatic sweetness of the pods only develops towards the end of the ripening period. For the open field and greenhouse. In the greenhouse, however, planting out is possible from April.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Cover the seeds only lightly with soil for germination, keep them evenly moist but not wet and warm (min. 20°C, preferably 25°C). A bright location is also important. After germination, keep slightly cooler. Prick out as soon as 2-4 true leaves are present. Harden off before planting out. When the first fruits begin to form, fertilize about once a week. The first flower can be broken off to encourage the formation of further fruit. Locations protected from the wind are advantageous. Support shoots if necessary.
