Description

Strong-growing food corn variety with long, narrow cobs and shiny black, soft seeds. In early maturity the cobs (sweet and juicy) can be used as sweet corn, later like grain corn. Good for tortillas or mixed with 1/3 regular corn as pink polenta. (From Sativa)

Growing tips

Germinates quickly, at optimum 20 - 22°C, but min. 12°C. Sufficient fertilization is important. For good pollination, do not grow plants in a line, but more as a block. Pre-cultivation and planting out is possible. In case of direct sowing watch out for bird damage. Recommended cultivation period: 3 years. (From Sativa)
