Duncan F1 is a pointed cabbage variety. It is suitable for both spring and summer cultivation. Dark green, upright, crisp leaves cover dense, pointed hearts. Versatile cabbage that can be sown early from February to June or late in October. Duncan is a hardy annual vegetable known as a spring green. A welcome variety that can help fill the gap in early to mid spring when little else is available to harvest.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Early sowing can be done in trays or modules under glass at 13°C. Later sowings can be made in a seedbed in shallow drills with a depth of 2 cm in short rows. As soon as the seedlings show their first pair of leaves in the greenhouse, prick them out in trays 5 cm apart or prick out the modules to one seedling per cell. Harden off the plants gradually before planting out, keeping a distance of 30 cm between plants and 35 cm between rows. Sowing in the open ground should be thinned out to a distance of 7-10 cm. Once the plants are 15 cm tall, they can be lifted and transplanted to their final planting location, maintaining the spacing described above.
