Description

Head cabbage is a native crop from the cruciferous family. It can be harvested late into the fall and is ideal for winter storage.

Growing tips

Cabbage prefers humusy, calcareous, deep, slightly heavier soil in a sunny location. An even supply of water and nutrients is important during growth. When planting seedlings, the soil should be moist and the seedlings should be watered well. A final harvest in winter is possible, as cabbage tolerates sub-zero temperatures. However, to be on the safe side, you can still cover it with a fleece.
