The variegated thyme 'Foxley' is a robust thyme species with a cushion-like habit. This hardy perennial delights onlookers with its variegated green and white leaves and fragrant pink flowers. Thyme belongs to the labiate family. The low-growing plant reaches a height of up to 15 centimetres. Enchanting flowers in an appealing pale pink appear in July. These remain on the branches until August. They are a valuable food source for bees and bumblebees. This plant is not woody. Its botanical name is Thymus pulegioides 'Foxley'. The plant is known to many gardeners under the German name Weißbunter Thymian. The evergreen ground cover beautifies rock gardens, herbaceous borders or walls. The small shrub is in continuous bloom. The flowers stand elegantly above the fragrant leaves. This cushion-like perennial, which forms clumps, is an integral part of rock gardens and cottage gardens. The variegated thyme 'Foxley' has dark green leaves with a creamy white margin. Freshly sprouted leaves are initially completely white or even pink.
