As a bolt-resistant variety, the endive 'Eros' from Kiepenkerl's Profi-Line produces particularly beautiful, lush heads. With their good heart filling and healthy underside, they are absolutely convincing. This broad-leaved, vigorous endive is of the 'Escariol' type. It offers reliable yields even in hot temperatures and is ideal for colorful salads. This makes it perfect for light meals on beautiful summer days! The heads grow quickly and become quite large. Its large leaves are slightly curled and have an appetizing sheen. In the middle they begin to blanch on their own and then have a high yellow content. These yellow leaves are characterized by a particularly fine, mildly tart taste that you won't want to miss in your salad.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
The heads can also cope well with light frosts. In mild locations, they can be harvested fresh throughout the winter at temperatures as low as -5 °C. If they are sown in late summer, they are therefore extremely suitable for tasty, tangy and aromatic salads in fall and winter. The heads can be stored in a cool environment with a long shelf life.
