Description

The "Long Island" is a very productive variety and can produce between 40 and 60 heads on one plant. The heads are dark green and very compact. This cultivar is ideal for the fall/winter harvest and is preferably eaten directly. However, it can also be frozen, as it does not lose its nutritional value, but gains in taste.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

They can be sown in pots or cold frames as early as February / March. However, it must be borne in mind that early Brussels sprouts do not usually form firm, closed florets.
