Description

Brussels sprouts have the highest content of vitamin C that can be found in vegetables, in many home gardens an important winter vegetable. Mildly aromatic variety Idemar is frost-hardy and can be harvested until the end of December.

Growing tips

Like all cabbage varieties, Brussels sprouts also have a high nutrient requirement. From the beginning of floret formation, it is recommended to fertilize with a plant liquid manure. A good water supply is also important, because the plants need to grow quickly. Tip: If the florets do not form sufficiently, prune the plants in September/October.
