The fruits are usually flat-round and ribbed, green with a yellow tinge when fully ripe. They taste fruity and sweet with a slight acidity, and really sweet in plenty of sunshine. Under good conditions, the plants grow up to 180 cm tall and are vigorous with strong foliage even as young plants. Text and picture source: Eifeltomate.de
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
As the panicles sometimes produce a lot of flowers/fruits, I recommend growing them with 1-2 shoots under good conditions, such as in a greenhouse or foil tunnel, so that the fruits can ripen well and grow to a nice size. In cooler locations, I would leave one shoot and pinch it out. A roof overhang for protection or a tomato house are an advantage to keep the plant healthy for longer.
