Meat tomato. Alice's Dream can produce very high yields. The plant is very vigorous and can reach a height of over 2 m. The fruits are flat-round, slightly ribbed and yellow-orange to red-black striped. The skin is rather firm. Sweet-aromatic taste. Produces a good yield both outdoors and under cover with fruits weighing around 100 g. Rather not suitable for containers. In the rainy summer of 2021, it was one of the best-yielding varieties in our garden.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Dig deep into the open ground. First add mature compost to the planting hole, then chopped nettle leaves and stone meal on top. Tomatoes need warm temperatures between 20-25°C to germinate. After germination, place in a cooler place (max. 20°C). Sowing before March can lead to a lack of light and poorer plant growth. When pricking out, plant deeper down to the cotyledons so that the plants can develop new roots. Harden off before planting out. Fertilize regularly and water evenly. Should be thinned out. Tie or fix the main shoot in particular, as it could otherwise break off due to the heavy fruit. A location protected from rain is advantageous. Basil (against mildew and whitefly) and marigolds (against nematodes, viruses, whitefly) have proven to be good companion plants. (From Biogartenbedarf).
