Description

A cold-resistant, late-cycle savoy cabbage from the city of Piacenza (in the Italian Po Valley) with bright green leaves that are very delicately flavored. The dense, round head is quite crunchy. Hardy. Savoy cabbage is rich in vitamins and minerals. In the kitchen it is used for soups and purees.

Non hybrid

Frostproof

Growing tips

Sow indoors in a soilless mixture 5-6 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds 1 cm deep and keep at 20°C during the germination period of 7-10 days. Allow to continue growing at slightly cooler temperatures, then harden off and plant outdoors at the end of May. The distance between the plants should be 45 cm, the row spacing 75 cm. The spring to summer crops do not form dense heads. You will achieve better results if you plant in late summer for the fall harvest. Optimal growing conditions on cool days 12 - 21°C with cool to cold nights 4 - 10°C.
