The Heinz 1350 tomato was specially developed by Heinz for the production of tomato sauces and ketchup. In addition, the fruits are burst-resistant and the plants are resistant to common tomato diseases. The fruits are red, flat-round, medium-sized, thin-skinned, very spicy-aromatic and slightly sweet. They reach a weight of 150-300g and, in addition to canning, are also very suitable for fresh consumption, for salads, sandwiches and bruschetta. Growing height approx. 80-120cm.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Heinz 1350 tomatoes can be grown indoors, in greenhouses and also outdoors. The optimum germination temperature is between 20-25°C and germination takes place after 8-14 days. To speed up germination, pre-soak the seeds overnight in a damp cloth. Only plant out the pre-grown plants after the last frost. For cool climates - resistant - medium-early ripening (approx. 72 days).
